Ongoing Math related events for students

· Math/CS Seminar: Every week we have talks. Some are colloquia for a general audience, and some are seminars for faculty and advanced undergraduates.

· Math/CS Table:  Eat lunch with Math and CS faculty and students every Wednesday, 12:15-1:15 in Kline Commons.  All are welcome!

· The Math Help Room is open Sunday –Wednesday 8-10 pm. No appointment necessary.

• The Hudson River Undergraduate Math Conference will be held sometime in April 2007. Abstracts are due in February.
• The Putnam Exam:  This national math exam is given to undergraduate students every December.  It’s a very difficult exam, so it is recommended that you attend practice sessions during the fall semester.  Contact: Greg Landweber
• Bard/Simon’s Rock Math Contest: Some years we participate in a math contest with Simon’s Rock.
• Pi Day:  Pi Day this year is Thursday, March 14^th, 2008.  We usually have an event for Pi Day.
