General Information

The Mid-Hudson Mathematics Conference for Undergraduates is a new conference series whose purpose to create an environment that encourages students to engage in mathematical research and to connect with other mathematics students in the Mid-Hudson region of New York State. The one-day conference will consist of a series of 20 minute presentations by undergraduate mathematics students, a plenary presentation by an invited speaker and panels on graduate school in mathematics and REU programs.

Undergraduates are invited to present the results of summer or academic year research or independent work. For students, it will be a great opportunity to meet other students interested in math, to expand their horizons and to become part of the larger mathematical community. The 2007 conference will take place in the Gabrielle H. Reem and Herbert J. Kayden Center for Science and Computation at Bard College, set to open in the Fall of 2007.

Continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are complimentary for all participants.

Registration is required for speakers and recommended for all participants.

All talks will be in rooms RKC 101, 102, and 103.

The keynote presentation and lunch will take place in the Campus Center.
