Extra Help If you need any extra help, here are your options:
    • The Math Help Room, in RKC 101 from 8-10 PM, Sunday through Wednesday.
    • Dedicated tutors available: jb597@bard.edu, vr239@bard.edu.
    • Come to my office hours, in Albee 304 from 1-2:20 PM Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
Homework Homework problems will be listed on the web page below each Thursday. We will discuss the homework in class the following Tuesday, but homework is not graded and does not need to be turned in.
Quizzes Each Tuesday, except the weeks of the midterms and final exam, I will assign several quiz problems on the web page below, to be turned in at the start of the next class, on Thursday. You must complete these quizzes entirely on your own, using only the textbook, your course notes, and your homeworks as references. Late quizzes will not be accepted. If you cannot attend class on Thursday, you may return your quiz to my office, Albee 304, before the start of class on Thursday. If you know you will be unavailable during the time of the quiz, you must make arrangements with me before the quiz problems are assigned on Tuesday. Your lowest quiz score will be dropped.
Exams There will be two take home midterm exams and a take home cumulative final exam. Each of these exams will be distributed in class on a Tuesday, and the completed exams will be due at the start of the next class, on Thursday. You must complete these exams entirely on your own, using only the textbook, your course notes, and your homeworks as references. Extensions may be granted only in extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the professor and must be negotiated before the exams are due.
