Mathematics Senior Projects

Every senior at Bard writes a senior project in his or her area of concentration. In mathematics, this project consists of what would be termed a senior thesis at many other colleges; that is, a year long project involving work on a mathematical problem, and a write-up of the results of the research. Writing a senior project offers the student an intellectual experience -- and challenge -- that is not available in regular courses. While at times perhaps a bit stressful, writing a senior project is often one of the most rewarding aspects of a Bard education.
